Human Factors and System Safety (MT 507) is a three-unit course that deals with the interaction between human, technology and organization to optimize health, well-being and performance in the design of products and work system. It is designed to provide industry with equipped graduates who can make real and lasting improvement to performance and safety through the application of skills and knowledge learned on the course. The course aims to give you a more profound appreciation, a more extensive language, and a variety of methods to handle the types of safety problems that you may encounter in your professional life. You will be learning how to prepare a fault tree analysis report, hazard and operability worksheet and other methods vital to safety in the workplace as future technology managers.
